Jonathan Paul Burridge, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Sandy, Utah.
Jon was born to George Thomas Burridge Sr. and Sandra Lee Burridge October 13th 1963 at the Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital, Ogden Utah.
Jon proudly served in the National Guard’s 145th Field Artillery 1st Battalion A Battery. Throughout his tenure, he performed every role associated with the gun, including driving, gunning, and many other duties. He created so many memories during this time and frequently shared stories of the lifelong friends he had made along the way.
Jon married Toni Marie Peck on May 31, 1990. They had three children: Nate, Nick, and Jonah. Their marriage, which lasted for 25 years, remained a close friendship even after they divorced. Jon adored Toni, and their friendship served as a commendable example for their children and mutual friends.
Since 1995, Jon was the owner and founder of U.S. Lightworks. He took great pride in this company and all of the countless projects he accomplished. From family and friends to large commercial clients, Jon never cut corners and always went above and beyond for everyone. Throughout his years of working together with his sons, Jon imparted invaluable lessons and knowledge that shaped their lives.
Jon had a childlike admiration for music and deeply loved attending concerts, collecting records, sharing music with friends, and proudly wearing his latest band T-shirt. He particularly loved attending concerts at Red Butte Gardens with his close friends and family and volunteering at The Blues Festival with his Niece Emily. He was a professional when it came to being the life of any party and had true talent when it came to making sure everyone was having their own special experience.
He found immense joy in spending time outdoors, engaging in activities like camping, fishing, hunting and most recently his new love of riding skidoos with his brother Christian. Jon always spoke passionately about his love for Utah and its beauty, and often said that he couldn’t imagine ever being anywhere else.
He was an exceptional gift giver, a master at stocking stuffers, and a culinary genius at preparing Sunday breakfasts. His unparalleled sense of humor was infectious, and he would shamelessly laugh at his own jokes, encouraging everyone around him to join in. His mind was a treasure trove of knowledge, spanning from music trivia to WWII history. He was an attentive listener, always keeping the secrets you shared with him.
His son’s passions and creative pursuits would not have been possible without Jon’s unwavering positive influence. From introducing his sons to his passion for Star Wars to teaching them how to “Destroy the evidence” when they go out for ice cream, he created an incredible collection of wonderful memories.
Jon cherished his time with friends and family, and he was incredibly supportive of them all. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met and would go to great lengths to ensure the happiness and well-being of his loved ones. His passion for hosting was evident in his ability to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that made everyone feel comfortable and entertained.
Jon will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by many. Although he may not be physically present, his influence will live on through the countless lives he touched. He was and will always be one of a kind.
Jon is survived by his children, Nate, Nick, and Jonah; his grandson, Xander; and his siblings, Tom, Melissa, James, Jennifer, and Christian.
He is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Sandra, his son Larry, and his two brothers David and William.

Jon’s graveside service will be held on July 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Brigham City Cemetery, located at 495 East and 500 South in Brigham City, Utah.
